first week summary project alligator

This Blog serves as an open source process and development platform for Project Alligator.
Visting the 6 week HSLU project module "wahrheit & dichtung" (truth and Poetry) i and my fellow students were asked to bring an objekt along on the first day aswell as our first thoughts and ideas concerning how to visualise and make readable a single story or story experience across multible platforms and formats using digital technologies.

for this purpose i brought along an inflatable alligator and a "shark poncho"

after giving it some consideration i came to a first set of criteria and decided that coincidence, chaos and letting the story, an objekt for that matter and the events which naturaly unfold as time goes by, play an important role in the way and manner the story and the storyboard would unfold.
the criteria:

- nonlinear / poetic / random storytelling
- real life situations/ interaction
- interaction with others and the interaction af everybody with their object as the story
- the story of everybody involved as an document of creative momentum aswell as "the story"
  which i am telling
- being part of the story myself / and as narrator of the story but not taking over complete
control of the storyboard (setting up a storyboard by example material to create a field or
  action parameter for the participants
- aswell a document of the "groove" in luzern / sociological paterns to a specific time
- taking the asignment criteria as my own (find an objekt and tell a story)
- the poncho (my whish that the participants would have an identiy)
- the inflatable alligator (the object to get the story told)
- using different social media, and different media for telling the story (foto, film
, spoken&written word (everything is allowed)
- trying to pose as less obstacles as possible ( almost everything is allowed )
- the object would have to be passed on to somebody else (snowball effect)
- the object could be transformed duplicated and passed on to 2 others who would continue the
storytelling (as long it is an story - everything goes and the alligator could become anything)
- keep things simple and easy

first questions
- would the quality change the story / make it less readable? ( the difference between home made videos directly uploaded or carefully narrated material )
- should i and how can i include material form third partys ? how can i give this along as a criteria to  the people participating
- what changes would a implemented narritve make / story
more questions

first experience and startup

after the first day i took my alligator and  sharkponcho and let people react to it. my only rule: say yes to everything and take my objekt along. me and my aligator ended up in several "strange" situations and with a lot of videos and photographs documenting the different kinds of interaction.

in an first attempt to document what happend to me and my alligator , i mixed together a video of  everything that happend in the first 2 days and "live" mixed them with a soundtrack i came across whilst  filming what some people were doing with my alligator i used a single media (film) to summerise the happenings.

- edited summery movie ( work in progress

As a next step i founded a facebook site called "Projekt Alligator" and hooked up some of my fellow human beings to  take an alligator along with them and asked them to please document their activitys and storys
